The summary: Auburn University's College of Agriculture has been able to progress their studies on the link of obesity and diabetes by using these extremely fat, mangalitsa pigs. According to their studies, the mangalitsa pig shares a lot of attributes with humans. The most important attribute for their study is the natural progression of diabetes as carcass fat increases. They hope that by working with these pigs, they will come up with a cure for diabetes and other obesity related diseases. Click on the link above to read more.
